It serves as the critical interface for expanding I/O capabilities beyond the primary CPU chassis by receiving signals from a Bus Transmitter module (such as the IC697BEM713).

Expansion Capabilities and System Architecture

This module facilitates the daisy-chaining of multiple racks to create a large-scale automation network. A single transmitter can support up to seven IC697BEM711 receiver modules, effectively broadening the system’s reach to accommodate additional I/O and specialty option modules. To maintain signal integrity across the expansion, the total distance from the transmitter to the final receiver must remain within 50 feet (15 meters).
