The Honeywell CC-PWRB01 serves as the central energy management hub for the Experion PKS Series C hardware ecosystem. This power system provides a stabilized +24 Vdc supply to C300 controllers and associated I/O assemblies across multiple cabinet sections. By incorporating two independent 20-ampere power supply units, the CC-PWRB01 establishes a redundant power architecture that eliminates single points of failure. This design ensures that critical process control operations remain active even during a primary hardware malfunction or source power loss.

Redundant Input and Backup Performance

To maximize system uptime, the CC-PWRB01 allows for dual AC inputs, enabling users to connect separate feeds from a standard AC line and an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). Under normal AC operation, the module maintains an output voltage between 25 and 26 Vdc. If both AC sources fail, the integrated 24V backup assembly instantly engages. This backup system utilizes rechargeable batteries and a dedicated charging circuit to sustain the full 20-ampere load for up to 30 minutes. Consequently, operators have sufficient time to perform controlled shutdowns or restore primary power without risking data loss or equipment damage.
